WE’RE HIRING! – We are currently hiring lifeguards for the 2023 season!

LIFEGUARD CENTER

Becoming a Lifeguard can be a lucrative and fun experience. You are outdoors the vast majority of the time, you are taught lifesaving skills, and you learn and develop leadership skills in your new position. We here at Pro Pool love hiring young, driven individuals and working with them to become the type of employee that we want to come back and work for Pro Pool for many summers.

The process of becoming one of our lifeguards is as follows:

1. Fill out an Application

Our application is done completely online, all you have to do is fill it out, review it to be sure that everything is correct, and then hit submit.

2. Choose a class that fits your schedule

Our certification classes have very limited space within them, due to restrictions on Teacher to Student ratios. That means the earlier you sign up, the better the chance that you will get in the class of your choice. Once you sign up, you MUST attend THAT specific class. You cannot sign up for one class and expect to attend a different class. These are very specific. If you do not notify us of a cancellation at least 48 hours prior to the beginning of the class, you will NOT be refunded.

3. Sign Up for the Class

Make sure that you have the COURSE NUMBER of the class of your choice ready. You will need this to complete the form.

4. Get the Waiver of Liability Form

You MUST bring the Waiver of Liability with you to the class. If you do not bring it, you will be asked to leave. Your money will not be refunded. The Waiver of Liability MUST be signed by an adult. We cannot legally accept a signature of someone under 18 years of age. If you are under 18, either your parent or a legal guardian can sign in your stead.

5. Fill out the W-4 Form

The W-4 form is required by the United States Government for tax reasons, and your employment is conditional upon it. Have your parents, or a legal guardian assist you in completing it. If you are still having problems, do not be frustrated, it is very confusing. Feel free to contact us. Once you have completed this form please return it to the Pro Pool office.

6. Fill out the I-9 Form

The I-9 is also a form required by the United States Government that verifies that you are an American Citizen eligible for employment within the United States. We must have this form before you can work for us. Once you have completed this form please return it to the Pro Pool office.

7. 15 Year Old Employees

A work permit will need to be obtained from your school, filled out and turned into the Pro Pool office. Once we receive it, we will fill out the Employer portion of the form and return it to you so you can have your school fill out the remaining portion of the form. Once the form is completed by all parties, you will need to return it to the Pro Pool office.

8. Follow Up

A Pro Pool representative will call you to schedule an interview.

After all of this is complete, you will be contacted by your manager to begin pool cleaning and preparation for opening in the summer. If you applied to be a manager or an assistant manager, we will be contacting you for an interview.

We look forward to working with you!
